Jill Gardner grew up in Southern California surrounded by artists and a love of Art. From the California College of Arts & Crafts in Oakland, she earned a bachelor of Fine Arts in 1988 and has been making, exhibiting and selling Art nationally ever since.

"I am fascinated by the idea of weaving energy into my pieces through the conscious act of creating with my hands. Through the years this focus has led to experimentation with natural materials and fabrics mixed with traditional media to produce multi textured works."

From sumi-e brush painting to mixed media collage and sculpture, Jill’s work spans a wide array of materials and subjects while being held together by its simple, tactile beauty. 

In her poetry, prose and essays, Jill’s voice is original, accessible, funny and filled with everyday wisdom. Her creative reach is broad,from Fine Art to Literature, Art Instruction to Creative Consulting.
